Ai Weiwei

Ai Weiwei (born 28 August 1957 in Beijing) Is a Chinese artist who is known for Excessivism one of his most famous works is called Sunflower Seeds and is in the Beijing National Stadium. And In 2011, following his arrest at Beijing Capital International Airport on 3 April, he was held for 81 days without any official charges being filed; officials alluded to their allegations of "economic crimes".^[6]

Sunflower Seeds

This is quite a cool installation, he filled a room with sunflower seeds each individually handcrafted out of porcelain and essentially made a sand like floor out of them in a gigantic room. This appeals to me because it is quiIt makes use of space by taking up a whole room.

Map Of China

This is a cross section of a map of China that is four meters long and weighs 635 kilograms. it is mad of wood salvaged from Qing Dynasty Temples. I think this a very creative way to preserve history in a way and in that rite it is very appealing.
